Where to find your EPC

In the official government register, free, by postcode. An EPC lasts ten years. If yours is missing or expired, an accredited assessor issues a new one.

Why the EPC matters for the grant

Ofgem uses the EPC to check that the property fits the planned system and whether insulation recommendations are outstanding. Loft or cavity wall insulation listed on the certificate must be installed, or an exemption must apply.
